Economy: Turkey's consumer, producer prices up in August

Consumer prices index (CPI) and producer prices index (PPI) in Turkey were up in August 2012 compared to July 2012, as Anatolia news agency reports. Turkey's statistics authority, TurkStat, said on Monday that CPI increased 0.56% and PPI was up by 0.26% (2003=100) in August.

Annual inflation in consumer prices was 8.88 %, and it was 4.56% in producer prices, said TurkStat. On 12-month basis, annual inflation was 9.29% in CPI, and 9.33% in PPI, it added.
