Turkey: 2,491 new companies established in July (-17% y-o-y)

A total of 2,491 companies have been established in Turkey in July 2012 with a 17.08% decrease when compared to June 2011 as Anatolia news agency reports. The number of companies which had been established in July 2011 was 3,994, said the Union of Chambers & Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) on Friday. Meanwhile, 1,302 companies were closed in July 2012. This figure had been 1,158 in July 2012. The number of cooperatives which were established in July 2012 rose 13.92% when compared to the previous month. (ANSAmed).
