Economy: Turkey's unemployment rate 9.9% in March

Unemployment rate in Turkey in March 2012 dropped 0.9% over the same month a year earlier to 9.9%, Anatolia news agency reports quoting the country's statistics authority on Friday. Urban unemployment was 11.6% and rural unemployment was 6.4% in the given period, TurkStat said. The number of jobless decreased to 2.6 million whereas the number of the employed rose to 23.8 million from 23.2 million.
