 Luxembourg Transportation Profile

The Luxembourg motorway network is very dense, largely lit, and completely free. Luxembourg has a highly developed rail network, due to its steel industry and the need to transport commuters to  Luxembourg City and more recently to the new site in Esch-Belval.

It is managed by the national railways of Luxembourg. Luxembourg is served by the TGV which reached Paris by Thionville and Metz in 2h06mn since June 10, 2007.  Airport Luxembourg-Findel International Airport is the Grand Duchy. The country also operates a river port of goods in Mertert on the  Moselle.
