Christopher Columbus, was the first European to explore Costa Rica and the Costa Rica Culture is influenced by the white people as they are the major inhabitants and are from Spanish origin and only less than 2% are black people. A small portion is also inhabited by the Indians and they are known as indio and Indians try to distinguish themselves from the Costa Ricans. The population of the country is 3.5 million and “Bribri” is the small population of the native Costarican tribes and they reside in the south eastern coast.22 Indian reservation in Costa Rica are there and the English is the official language over there. Costa Rica Culture shows that the people are very polite and gentle and the Costarican are known as “Ticos”.

Costa Rica Culture if compared to other South American culture is just blooming as it has came into existence for the last 100 years and the Europeans nave a little indigenous cultural influence . Famous for the awesome natural beauty and warm hearted people rather than Costa Rica culture the Ticos has developed some really touching art museum. History And Culture Of Costa Rica are also related to the present acting community and Theater is the most wanted part in the cultural activities. The famous theater of the Costa Rica is Teatro Nacional and its located in the center of San Jose. And it organizes various shows like opera,national symphony, ballet and related cultural events follow in the theater.

Costa Rica have seen a tremendous growth of economy and Industry in the past years but the Culture of Costa Rica is traditional till date and the foreigners think about the Ticos as passive individuals. Costa Rica Culture is unique because despite being the catholic country the Costarican display a lukewarm catholicism. The races of the country is homogeneous and thus it encourages peace rather than revolution and this aspect is praiseworthy in Costa Rica than other South America culture.
