  • Zhongwang Acquires German Alumnium Extrusion Firm ALUnna

    CHINA, 2017/09/16 The world’s second major aluminium extrusion firm China Zhongwang Holdings Ltd announced yesterday that it presently holds a controlling interest in German aluminium extrusion firm Aluminiumwerk Unna AG (ALUnna). Although no price for the purchase was given, the transaction gives all owned German subsidiary Zhongwang Aluminium Deutschland GmbH a 99.72-% equity interest in ALUnna. According to experts, the purchase enhances Zhongwang’s position in the world aviation market inclunding giving the firm a stronger foothold on the European continent.

    IRAN, 2017/08/28 French auto giant Peugeot Citroen (PSA) said Thursday world sales rose slightly in the initial half with its Iran comeback compensating for problems in China where volumes plunged by almost 50 %.     JAPAN, 2016/01/02 European planemaker Airbus (AIR.PA) has won a transaction to sell three A380 superjumbo jets to Japan's biggest carrier ANA Holdings Inc (9202.T) in a transaction valued at about 150 billion yen ($1.25 billion), the Nikkei reported. The planes are to be introduced in fiscal 2018 in routes to Hawaii and elsewhere, the paper said. Orders for Airbus A380s have dried up in recent years reflecting a fundamental shift in the industry toward smaller, twin-engine planes that cost less to fly than the stately, four-engine jumbos, which can carry as a lot of as 525 passengers.
  • Egypt to apply new round of customs deductions on EU-imported cars

    EGYPT, 2016/01/02 Egypt will apply a new phase of 10 % cuts on customs of vehicles imported from the European Union in accordance with a comprehensive EU-Egyptian trade agreement, sources at the Cairo airport customs said on Saturday. “These reductions will be applied upon the arrivals of the owners of modern European cars in all the Egyptians ports and airports,” the sources said. The EU-Egypt Association Agreement, which entered into force in 2004, provides that customs duties on vehicles "shall be reduced by 10% annually starting six years next the entry into force of the Agreement, or January 2010, with duties completely eliminated within 16 years next entry into force of this Agreement," according to the official website of the EU.
  • France's industrial production slightly up in September

    FRANCE, 2015/11/23 Industrial output in France inched up by 0.1 % in September next gaining ground a month before, the national statistics bureau Insee revealed on Tuesday.
