Saudi Aramco confirms Amin Nasser as new president
SAUDI ARABIA, 2015/09/21 A veteran executive with oil giant Saudi Aramco, Amin Nasser, has been confirmed as the company's president, the Dhahran-based firm said Thursday. Nasser had been interim president and CEO since May at the same time as his predecessor, Khalid al-Falih, became health minister. Falih continues as chairman. Nasser's appointment came Wednesday at the initial conference of the Saudi Aramco Supreme Council since the company was spun off from the oil ministry in May. -

Supported by a Saudi programme to foster, or "incubate", technology-based businesses with high increase potential, she developed a machine to produce Arabic coffee at the push of a button -- the initial of its kind. In the process, Waalan and her Yatooq company became emblematic of efforts to diversify the oil-dependent kingdom's economy and employ additional Saudis, particularly women. Yatooq is one success story from the business incubation programme, known as Badir (meaning "to initiate"), but it's not the only one. -
Woman has been named to chief an investment bank in Saudi Arabia
SAUDI ARABIA, 2014/03/06 Saudi Arabia's NCB Capital has appointed Sarah Al-Suhaimi as its chief executive, the investment bank said on Tuesday, the initial time a woman has been named to chief an investment bank in the conservative kingdom. Suhaimi, before chief of investment management and chief investment officer at Jadwa Investment in Saudi Arabia, replaces Tariq Linjawi, who was acting chief executive. The appointment still needs approval by Saudi financial regulators. NCB Capital, with about $12 billion of assets under management, is a unit of National Commercial Bank, Saudi Arabia's major bank. -
