Uruguayan national-owned utility OSE is considering implementing water rationing as a result of the drought that has affected the country this year, an official from the utility's general management division.
OSE's management held an emergency conference on December 29, next deciding to reduce water pressure to decrease consumption in parts of Canelones and Rocha departments. The water shortage is as well affecting capital Montevideo.
