Qatar signs deal for 24 French Rafale fighter jets
FRANCE, 2015/05/09 Qatar signed a multi-billion-euro transaction with French defence group Dassault on Monday to buy 24 Rafale fighter jets, in a ceremony attended by the leaders of both nations in Doha. The arrangement was signed by Dassault CEO Eric Trappier and Qatari General Ahmed al-Malki, who oversaw negotiations for the 6.3-billion-euro ($7-billion) transaction. French President Francois Hollande told Malki during the ceremony that Qatar had made a "good choice" in purchasing the warplanes, a correspondent said. -
Dubai-based Nesto to invest $267 million in Saudi retail sector
QATAR, 2012/12/23 Nesto Group, a Dubai-based retail giant, has announced an ambitious plan to invest SR1 billion ($267 million) in the Saudi retail sector within the next three to years, which will create additional than 5,000 jobs for Saudi nationals. Nesto Group made this announcement, while giving details about its new multi-million riyal hypermarket to be formally opened at Gardenia Mall in Azizia district of the capital city here tomorrow.
