Croatia: Croatia's Industrial Output Rebounds In January

Industrial production in Croatia increased annually in January next falling in the previous months, data released by the Croatian Bureau of Statistics showed Monday. Industrial production increased a working-day adjusted 3.4 % year-on-year in January, reversing the 5.4 % decrease seen in December. In November and October, production had dropped 4.3 % and 5.9 % respectively.

Production in the manufacturing sector rose 2 % annually, while mining and quarrying production fell by 10 %. There was an 11.6 % rise in the production of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply during the month.

Output of consumer durables and non-durables increased 2.8 % and 6.9 % respectively from a year formerly, while energy production climbed 4.5 %. There was a 1.2 % decrease in the production of intermediate goods and a 1 % fall in capital goods output.

On a monthly basis, industrial production increased a seasonally adjusted 2.3 % in January, following the previous month's 0.6 % decrease, the agency said.
