The Institute of International Finance,
An influential group of leading world banks warned Thursday that central banks are pumping out too much easy money and markets risk becoming dangerously addicted to ultra-low interest rates. The Institute of International Finance, which groups 450 banks, said that if central banks continue to flood money into the world economy, again any next bid to get it under control could itself destabilize the economy.

The Syrian Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade
The Syrian government is doing its utmost to meet its people's need of oil derivatives, mainly diesel fuel which is a staple for most Syrians in heating, and is presently cooperating with foreign companies to fill the shortage. According to a statement published by the local al-Eqtissadi Website, the Syrian Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade has asked the Office of Oil Marketing to provide it with quantities and specifications of crude oil to be exported and a timetable for the handover process.

Ms. Nemat Shafik, Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), made the following statement today in Amman at the end of her visit to Jordan: “It has been a pleasure to visit Jordan for the second time as Deputy Managing Director of the IMF. The IMF is supporting Jordan’s national economic program under a 36-month Stand-By Arrangement in the amount of SDR 1.364 billion (about US$2 billion, 800 % of quota), approved by the Executive Board on August 3, 2012 (see Press Release No. 12/288).

The Middle East is a region that roughly encompasses Western Asia. The term is considered to be Eurocentric and used as a synonym for Near East, in opposition to Far East. The corresponding adjective is Middle-Eastern and the derived noun is Middle-Easterner. The largest ethnic group in the middle east are Arabs,with Turks, Turkomans, Persians, Kurds, Azeris, Copts, Jews, Maronites, Assyro-Chaldeans, Circassians, Armenians, Druze and numerous other ethnic groups forming other significant populations.
The history of the Middle East dates back to ancient times, and throughout its history, the Middle East has been a major center of world affairs. When discussing ancient history, however, the term Near East is more commonly used.
