Govt planning US$857mn investments in solid waste management
BRAZIL, 2010/08/10 Brazil's government has passed new legislation which involves 1.5bn reais (US$857mn) in funding for solid waste treatment and disposal projects. The resources will be used for initiatives such as building landfills and solid waste separation facilities and implementing selective waste collection programs, government news service Agencia Brasil reported.
