  • Accord for methane pipeline ramification signed in Tirana

    ALBANIA, 2013/05/24  Four Balkan nations have signed a memorandum of considerate to support the Trans Adriatic Pipeline project, which will bring methane to the Italian region of Apulia from Azerbaijan's huge Shah Deniz gas field, crossing Greek and Albanian territory. Bosnia, Croatia and Montenegro have expressed strong interest in the ramification of the methane pipeline towards their own nations as a way to ''foster energy security of an entire region''.
  • Qatar to Help Croatia in LNG Terminal Development

    CROATIA, 2012/12/30 Croatia is seeking financial help from the Qatar Investment Authority and Macquarie Group Ltd to build a liquefied natural-gas terminal next securing a supply accord with Qatargas. The terminal with annual capacity of 5 bcm is expected to cost $923 million. Croatia aims to complete the project by 2016. Qatargas last month agreed to supply gas for the terminal over 25 years, while Sydney-based Macquarie pledged to match financing with Qatar should it acknowledge to take part in the construction, the news agency said citing Economy Minister Ivan Vrdoljak.
