  • The construction of Poland's LNG terminal project in Swinoujscie

    POLAND, 2013/09/05 The construction of Poland's LNG terminal project in Swinoujscie appears to off track, despite recent comments from the terminal operator just several months ago. In mid June of this year, Rafal Wardzinski, chief of terminal operator Polskie LNG, commented that the Świnoujście facility was expected to be completed in the second half of 2014. However, Polish Radio News Agency (IAR) reports that Treasury Minister Włodzimierz Karpiński, who commissioned a statement on the evolution of the construction, will officially announce that that the terminal will be completed no before than 2015.
  • Polish Oil and Gas Company (PGNiG) and partner FX Energy, Inc. drilling the Lisewo-2

    POLAND, 2013/09/05 Polish Oil and Gas Company (PGNiG) and partner FX Energy, Inc. have started drilling the Lisewo-2 well development well targeting the Lisewo structure before discovered by the Lisewo-1 well. Lisewo-2 is intended to accelerate production from the structure where reserves are estimated to total 25 billion cubic feet of gas. Output from the Lisewo-1 and Lisewo-2 wells, together with the nearby Komorze-3 well, will be processed at an on site facility prior to being fed via pipeline into the gas network near Grodzisk Wielkopolski in western Poland. The Lisewo production facility is scheduled to begin producing about the end of September.
