    SAUDI ARABIA, 2016/03/31 President Jacob Zuma is on a national visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to strengthen bilateral political and economic relations, the Presidency said on Saturday. Zuma arrived in Riyadh on Saturday afternoon ahead of tomorrow's national visit. "The national visit... will serve as an significant structural catalyst to strengthen bilateral political and economic relations, in particular by strengthening co-operation in the areas of trade and investment and in support of expanding cultural and people-to-people interaction between the two nations," it said in a statement.

    CHINA, 2015/11/30 China will work with African nations to make a China-Africa summit late this year a successful event, President Xi Jinping said on Friday while conference with visiting South African President Jacob Zuma. The two nations announced that the sixth ministerial conference of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation will be upgraded to a summit and is scheduled for Dec 4 and 5 in South Africa. The forum, held each three years since 2000, was upgraded to a summit once before, in 2006 in Beijing, and drew participants from 48 nations. National leaders of China and South Africa will invite African heads of national to the summit this year, Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his South African counterpart, Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, announced on Thursday.

    SOUTH AFRICA, 2015/10/28 South Africa's executive capital Pretoria was turned blue on Saturday to commemorate the UN Day and the 70th anniversary of the organization. Dressed in the UN blue, a group of students from schools in Pretoria, presently named as Tshwane, joined staff members from the UN Data Center Pretoria and members of the public in a peaceful walk from the UN office to the Pretoria Technical High School where a variety of activities such as song, poems, dance and speeches, took place. Speaking on behalf of the UN, Dr. Esther Muia paid tribute to the excellent support and cooperation between the world body and the South African government and lauded the achievements the government has made in attaining some Millennium Development Goals. The mountain kingdom’s Prime Minister Pakalitha Mosisili was supposed to take over the reigns from South Africa’s Jacob Zuma as chair of the Southern African Development Community’s Organ for Politics, Defence and Security. But on Monday Zuma’s office announced at SADC’s summit here, that the year-long tenure had gone to Mozambique instead, represented by President Filipe Nyusi, and would go to Tanzania at next year’s summit.
