  • Natural Gas In Iran World’s largest gas reserves holder strengthens global standing with landmark gas summit

    IRAN, 2015/12/26 Tehran’s recent hosting of a milestone gas summit demonstrated its strengthening foreign relations ahead of the imminent easing of UN sanctions and its major position in the burgeoning world gas trade in the years approaching. The world’s leading gas producers convened in Tehran on November 23, 2015, for the Third Gas Exporting Nations Forum (GECF) to exchange experiences, views, and policy ideas about the development of the world natural gas industry at the highest level. Part other top-ranking attendees to the landmark summit were eight heads of national and government, inclunding the initial visit to Iran by Russian President Vladimir Putin since 2007, demonstrating the importance increasingly being attached by nations around the world to expanding relations with Iran.
  • Iran: Rohani Postpones Trips To Italy, France Following Paris Attacks

    IRAN, 2015/11/16 Iran’s foreign ministry announced that President Hassan Rohani’s official trip to Italy and France has been postponed in view of the attacks carried out by the extremist group ISIS in France. ISIS took responsibility for the several attacks carried out in Paris on Friday night November 13 which has so far left 127 dead and 250 wounded. Hassan Rohani in a message to his French counterpart has condemned the attacks and extended his sympathies to the people of France.
  • The 6th Ministerial Meeting of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum to be Held in Beijing

    BAHRAIN, 2015/07/10 Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hong Lei announced at the press conference: Upon agreement of China and the League of Arab States, the 6th ministerial conference of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum will be held in Beijing on June 5. Foreign ministers or representatives from China and Arab states inclunding the Secretary-General of the Arab League will attend the conference.
  • Saudi king, most Gulf leaders to skip landmark US summit

    BAHRAIN, 2015/05/13 Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and leaders from three other Gulf states have cancelled plans to attend a landmark US-Gulf summit hosted by President Barack Obama this week amid persistent concerns in the region over US nuclear talks with Iran. Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir announced that newly named Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef would represent the world's top oil exporter at the summit, which US sources say will focus on military cooperation. The king’s son, Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, will as well attend.
