  • Armenia Rosneft President Igor Sechin met with the President of the Republic of Armenia

    ARMENIA, 2014/01/05 As part of a working visit to Armenia Rosneft President Igor Sechin met with the President of the Republic of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan. A number of documents, pointed at extending cooperation with the republic, were signed in presence of the Armenian President Rosneft, L.L.C. PIRELLI Tyre Russia, and Oil Techno signed a Memorandum of Considerate with regard to establishing styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) production joint venture in Armenia. The realization of the project will help implement new technologies in Armenia and create a modern production facility of national-of-the-art eco-friendly materials – SBR is employed in the production of “Green tires”, which improves fuel economy performance and as well tire grip in wet and dry conditions.

  • Hrazdan TPP in Armenia

    ARMENIA, 2013/12/08 The ceremony dedicated to launching the commercial operation of the fifth power generating unit at the Hrazdan Thermal Power Plant (TPP) took place today in Armenia (near Hrazdan). The Gazprom Management Committee Chairman Alexey Miller took part in the event. The command to start up the power unit was given by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan via video link from Gyumri. The fifth power unit at the Hrazdan TPP will make it possible to meet the growing power request in Armenia and neighboring nations.
