Recycla reaches 4,000t/y waste separation capacity
CHILE, 2010/08/10 Chilean tech recycling company Recycla has reached capacity to separate 4,000t/y of waste, following the opening of its expanded waste separation plant. Located in capital Santiago's Pudahuel district, the plant - which used to process 700t/y of e-waste - was inaugurated by President Sebastian Piñera on August 9, an official from the presidential office told BNamericas. The project involved expanding the plant's waste disassembling, storage, commercialization and shipping areas. The plant separates recyclable waste, which is again shipped to the firm's final disposal facility.
