Turkmenistan’s President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov and his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Poroshenko held business negotiations in Ashgabaton October 29, a source close to the talks told Trend.
Poroshenko arrived in Turkmenistan for an official visit on October 28.
The relations between Turkmenistan and Ukraine are based on the centuries-old friendship between the peoples of the two nations and the cooperation in humanitarian and other spheres contributes to this, Turkmen Dovlet Khabarlary national news agency said.
Large joint projects for developing the urban and transport infrastructure – construction of railway and road bridges through the River Amu Darya, drainage and communication tunnel in Ashgabat became the symbols of the mutually beneficial partnership.

BULGARIA, 2015/08/27
Prospects for economic cooperation were high on the schedule of talks held between Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov and Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov in Ashgabat on August 25.
The sides referred to the engineering and transport sectors as strategic areas of the cooperation.
Borissov said that the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline, which is designed to deliver natural gas from Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan, is a possible step towards the energy diversification of Turkmenistan.

BULGARIA, 2015/08/26
A package of bilateral documents, which strengthen cooperation between Turkmenistan and Bulgaria, was signed in Ashgabat on August 25 following talks between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov and Prime Minister of Bulgaria Boyko Borisov.
The signing ceremony was held in the one-on-one format in an expanded format with the participation of delegations of the two nations.
Agreement on cooperation in the field of architecture and construction was signed between the Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works of Bulgaria.

RUSSIA, 2015/07/28
The third conference of joint Turkmenistan-Tatarstan working commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation will be held on July 23-24 in Ashgabat, the Turkmen government reported.
The sides plan to discuss the prospects for expanding the cooperation in the petrochemical sphere, energy, industry, transport, construction, agriculture, environmental protection, education, health care, sports and tourism.

The presidents of Georgia and Turkmenistan have expressed interest in the development of cooperation in the fields of transit, transportation, and trade, with the participation of Azerbaijan.
This was expressed in a joint statement adopted by Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili and his Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov on July 2 during the Turkmen president's national visit to Tbilisi.
"The sides confirmed their interest and support to the development of the agreement, initiated by Afghanistan on cooperation in the transit, transport and trade fields between Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey. The priority direction of cooperation between the nations will be joint implementation of major regional and inter-regional transport and energy projects," the document says.

KAZAKHSTAN, 2014/10/09
The freight traffic between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan stood at 1.4 million metric tons in January-July 2014, Turkmen Ambassador to Kazakhstan Magtymguly Akmyradov said on October 9.
"During this period, the freight traffic between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan amounted to 1.4 million metric tons, increasing by 42 % compared to the same period of the last year," he said.
The ambassador said the increase in the freight traffic is due to the commissioning of the Kazakh-Turkmen section of the Uzen-Kyzylkaya-Bereket-Etrek railway in 2013.

BELARUS, 2014/10/09
Belarus and Turkmenistan with a trade turnover of $450 million are able to double this figure in 2015.
The news was announced by Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Anatoly Kalinin at the 6th session of the Belarusian-Turkmen intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, Belarusian media reported.
He said this goal is completely acceptable. "We have created a strong foundation, inclunding for the development of new directions of cooperation, which can be modern projects on construction of assembly plants in Turkmenistan," he added.

GERMANY, 2014/09/30
Expansion of the economic relations between Turkmenistan and Germany will be in focus of the upcoming forum to be held as part of the German Economy Day in Turkmenistan on October 2.
The forum will be attended by the representatives of national and business structures of the two nations.
Around 90 German companies, specialized in the sphere of trade, agriculture, food industry, education, health care and pharmaceuticals, oil and gas sphere, energy, engineering, production of equipment and construction materials, the road transport and the banking sector are expected to participate in the event.
