Latvia's current account balance turned to a surplus in December from a deficit in the previous year, figures from the Latvian Central Bank showed Friday.
The current account balance showed a surplus of EUR 27.08 million in December against a deficit of EUR 88.37 million a year before.

The issues of the Georgian-Latvian bilateral cooperation will be discussed during Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili’s forthcoming visit to Latvia on January 8-9.
Garibashvili will as well take part in the international conference entitled "2015 - European Year of Development", the Georgian government reported.

In November 2012, the total foreign trade turnover at current prices comprised LVL 1 456.3 million – 4.1% or LVL 63.0 million less than a month formerly and 16.3% or LVL 204.5 million additional than in November 2011.
As compared to the previous month, export price in November 2012 increased by 1.4%, while import price decreased by 8.7%, according to the data of the Central Statistical Bureau of Latvia.
