    ISRAEL, 2016/02/13 Israel’s Foreign Ministry on Wednesday announced the next closure of five diplomatic missions abroad due to budgetary considerations.   • Israeli Exports to US Down, Up Elsewhere

    ISRAEL, 2016/02/13 In advance of the Foreign Trade Conference that takes place in Israel Wednesday, the Economy Ministry published the Israeli exports data, revealing that the market that has shown the sharpest increase in absorbing Israeli exports was China, rising from 2% of Israel’s in general exports to 6%.   • Israel, Egypt sign letter of intent for Leviathan natural gas export deal

    ISRAEL, 2015/11/26 The partners in the Leviathan gas discovery, Ratio Oil Exploration, Avner Oil and Gas LP and Delek Drilling, along with US company Nobe Energy, statement this morning that a non-binding letter of intent has been signed between Leviathan and Egyptian company Dolphinus Holdings in which the sides confirmed their intention of negotiating an agreement for the supply of gas from Leviathan to Dolphinus via the existing gas pipeline operated by EMG in Egypt. The basis for negotiations is an estimated supply of not additional than 4 BCM (billion cubic meters) of gas annually for 10-15 years. The intention is to transport the gas via the Israel Natural Gas Lines system to Ashkelon and from there to Egypt via EMG's pipeline. According to the statement, the price of the gas that will be set will be similar to prices in other agreements for the export of gas from Israel to regional markets, and will be linked to the price of Brent crude oil, inclunding a floor price.

    ISRAEL, 2015/11/17 Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu left the United States early Thursday next a three day visit to the ally country, Israeli media reported. The visit — the PM’s initial to the US since the Iran nuclear transaction was finalized — included a conference with US president Barack Obama that Netanyahu deemed during a press briefing as “one of the best meetings” to take place between the two leaders. Using a sort of high-tech “X-ray” called spectral imaging, Eshet Eilon’s machines statement on nutrition data, ripeness, quality, and even at the same time as – or whether – a piece of fruit will get ripe. “Our sorting machines check everything there is to know about fruit — how much sugar, protein, or carbohydrates are in fruit, how ripe it is, whether there are any diseases or fungi, and other data that until presently exporters could only guess at,” said Tamir. “Ours is the initial fast sorting machine that can check each single piece of fruit that goes into a shipment, ensuring that buyers know what they are getting, and that the fruit shipments don’t get sent back because they aren’t up to standards.”
