  • UNWTO: International tourism – strongest half-year results since 2010

    AFGHANISTAN, 2017/09/09 Destinations worldwide welcomed 598 million international tourists in the initial six months of 2017, some 36 million additional than in the same period of 2016. The Horgos International Border Cooperation Center on the China-Kazakhstan border, in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, has seen an increasing number of tourists since 2012. It attracted a total of 5.43 million tourists in 2016.

    KYRGYZSTAN, 2016/09/23 Health national of Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev is normal and he is still in Turkey, said an official of the presidential press service, RIA Novosti reported. “The president’s health condition is normal. He has by presently made a statement today,” said the official. Before, the Kyrgyz presidential press service said Atambayev took a short vacation to undergo a medical examination.
