Serbia: First phase of building IT Park in Indjija completed in Serbia

The initial phase of construction of the Embassy Techzones IT Park, a EUR 10 million investment for Indian real estate developer Embassy Group spanning an area of 10,000 square meters in Indjija, northern Serbia, was completed on Thursday.

A celebration to mark the end of the initial construction stage was attended by Serbian Foreign Minister Ivan Mrkic and Minister of National for External Affairs of India Preneet Kaur.

“ Building the IT Park is an significant moment for the development of the local data technology capacity and it lays the foundation for Serbia’s regional role in this sector,” Mrkic said.

Kaur said that India wants to share its knowledge with Serbia and invest in the country to help boost the development of Serbian economy. The Indian diplomat said that the investment in the IT Park in Indjija is India's biggest investment in Serbia and one of the biggest investments by her country in the region of southeastern Europe.

We want Serbia to achieve in the region that which India has completed in the world in the field of data technology, Kaur said.
