Cameroon Environment Profile 2012
Although environmentally protected areas have been extended (18.8% of total land area in 2008, up from 13% in 2000), the goal of lowering the proportion of the population using solid heating and cooking fuels to about 42.2% will probably not be reached, as this indicator showed no improvement between 2001 and 2008.
