Kazakhstan: Kazakhstan plan to produce over 60,000 cars per year

Kazakhstan's car industry plans to increase car production to 60,000 per year from 2014, Kazakh Industry and New Technologies Minister Investment Issekeshev said at an expanded board conference of the ministry.

"The ministry will pay appropriate attention to the development of national machine building in 2014. We plan to produce over 60,000 cars per year in the industry this year," the minister said.

The minister stressed that the plan is based on the integration processes in which Kazakhstan participates.

Car production in Kazakhstan doubled in 2013 compare to 2012, from 19,186 to 37,471, according to the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies. Around 992 buses were produced in the country in 2013 which is 4.5 times additional than in 2012 (205 buses).

The country has exported about 7.6 billion tons of grain (inclunding flour) since early 2016, reads a statement issued by the country’s Agriculture Ministry. Grain exports totaled 4.9mn tons, while flour exports stood at 1.8mn tons, the ministry said. This year's target for grain exports has been met at 92.5% so far.
