President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan on October 12, said Natig Aliyev, Azerbaijan's energy minister, the Kazakh media reported on September 22.

“We look forward to President Nazarbayev’s visit to Azerbaijan,” the minister said at the 13th conference of the Kazakh-Azerbaijani intergovernmental economic cooperation commission. “We deeply respect the Kazakh president for his wisdom and attitude towards Azerbaijan.”

The minister said the fraternal relations between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are the two pillars on which all the political, economic and friendly relations between the two independent nations are based.
