Angola: Luanda Government signs road repairs contract

The arrangement aims to ensure the development of road traffic in the urban hull.

The work include repair of potholes, sidewalks and curbs, replacement of damaged or missing road signals, pavement with asphalt, placing lids missing in sanitation collection boxes, painting curbs and execution of horizontal signals.

Worth USD 78.9 million (about 860. 49 billion Kwanzas), the arrangement will have a deadline of six months, starting on 13 May and set to end on 09 November this year.

A contract for repair of roads, sidewalks, curbs and traffic signals was signed this Wednesday between the provincial governor of Luanda, Graciano Domingos and the construction company "Mota Engil" CEO, Paulo Pinheiro.

Sixteen Luanda streets are part the priorities, with stress to Comandante Arguelles, Josina Machel, 17 de Setembro, Coqueiros, Frederico Engels, Major Kanhangulo, Largo do Ambiente, Eixo Viário, Avenidas Ngola Kiluanje, Lenine, Joaquim Kapango, Brasil, Valódia and Portugal.
